Description
The iPhone XR charging IC (ref. SN2600B) is an electronic component that manages battery power when the device is plugged into the mains. It regulates the current and voltage sent to the battery so it charges correctly and is protected against overcharging. When it fails, the device may stop charging, charge very slowly, or show no charging even though the connector is in good condition.
This part is a compatible, made by a third party. It is an economical option for repairing your iPhone XR yourself, but it is not original. Before replacing it, switch off the power, disconnect the battery carefully and use an anti-static tool to avoid damaging neighbouring components. Do not bend the ribbon cables and never puncture the battery.
After fitting, connect the device to a reliable charger and monitor the temperature: slight warmth is normal, strong heat is not. Carry out a few full charge cycles so the battery management system recalibrates. If the battery is swollen, do not try to keep using it.
