Description
The U3700 power management IC is an electronic component that regulates the distribution of electrical power inside the device. It coordinates battery charging and the distribution of current to the various circuits. When it fails, the device may no longer charge, switch off at random or fail to start. This part is compatible with the iPhone X model. It is a third-party manufacture, not an original manufacturer part.
Before you begin, switch the device off completely and unplug the charger. Disconnect the battery before any work on the board, and work on a clean surface free of static electricity, ideally with an anti-static wrist strap. Do not heat the board more than necessary and avoid forcing the connectors.
After fitting, reconnect the battery and test charging over several full cycles to check stability. Monitor the device's temperature during the first uses. If the battery swells or overheats abnormally, stop using it immediately and do not puncture or bend it.
