Description

This backlight IC for iPhone 6 Plus powers the LEDs that light up your device's screen. When it weakens or fails, the image can become very dark, appear in patches, flicker, or stop lighting up entirely while the rest of the display still works. It is a compatible part made by a third party, offered to help you repair your device at a lower cost.

Before you begin, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery when the procedure requires it. Work on a clean, flat surface with good lighting and suitable tools. Protect the components from static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface before handling the chip. Avoid excessive heat and never force fragile connectors.

After fitting, reconnect the battery, reassemble the device and test the screen brightness before closing the casing for good. If the battery is swollen or damaged, do not use it and never puncture it.
