Description
This gyroscope chip is a compatible replacement part for iPhone 13 Pro. The gyroscope is a sensor that measures the rotational movements of the device. It is used, among other things, for screen orientation, games that respond to tilt and the stabilisation of certain photos. When it fails, the display may stay stuck in portrait or landscape, or some apps stop responding to movement.
Before you start, switch the device off completely, remove the battery if the design allows it and work on a clean, dry surface. Protect the components from static electricity, for example with an anti-static wrist strap, and avoid excessive heat when desoldering. Parts of this type are very small: sufficient lighting and suitable tools make the work easier.
After fitting, check that the sensor works by slowly turning the device in several directions. Also check that the screen orientation and motion-sensitive apps respond correctly. If the battery was disconnected, switch the device back on gradually and watch that it does not overheat.
