Description
This IC chip, also called an integrated circuit, is the 210V3MU NFC controller. It manages the phone's contactless communication, notably for mobile payment, reading cards and badges, and short-range data transfer. On a iPhone 14 Pro, this part provides the NFC functions. When it is faulty, card reading and contactless payment stop working, while the rest of the device remains usable.
The part offered is a compatible version, made by a third-party manufacturer. It replaces the current part and restores the NFC function at a lower cost. Before any disassembly, switch off the device, discharge the battery as much as possible and work on a clean, antistatic surface. Disconnect the battery before working on the flex cables, and avoid excessive heat when desoldering.
After reassembly, check NFC reading with a card or badge, then test contactless payment. If the battery is swollen, stop using it. Never puncture or bend the lithium battery during the repair.
