Description
This IC chip, known as the Frequency Diversity Receiving Switch Sky, is an integrated circuit that forms part of the radio reception section of certain devices. It routes the received signal to the correct reception path, helping the radio connection stay stable. When it is faulty, the iPhone 15 Pro may show reception problems, loss of network or an unstable radio connection. This is a compatible part made by a third party, which lets you repair your device at a lower cost.
Before you start, switch the device off and disconnect the battery where possible. Work on a clean, static-free surface, using an anti-static wrist strap if you have one. When soldering or desoldering, follow the recommended temperatures and avoid excessive heat, which could damage neighbouring components. Note the orientation of the chip before removing it.
After fitting, check that reception, network and the radio functions of the iPhone 15 Pro work properly. Also check that there is no short circuit or abnormal heating. If the battery is swollen, stop using the device and never puncture the battery.
