Description
The IC chip iPhone 16 Pro is an integrated circuit that drives the device's LCD display. It receives signals from the motherboard and passes on the data the screen needs to show images, text and colours. When it is faulty, you may see a black screen, horizontal or vertical lines, stuck pixels or an unstable display. This part is a compatible option made by a third party, offered to repair the screen at a lower cost.
Before you start, prepare a clean, well-lit workspace, with an anti-static mat if possible. Earth yourself to limit electrostatic discharges, which can damage components. Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables and note the order of each connector to make reassembly easier. Do not overheat the solder area and use suitable tools.
Once the chip is fitted, check the screen works before closing the device completely. Switch it on, check there are no lines or dark areas, then test the display at different brightness levels. If the battery was removed, let it recharge gradually. If you notice the battery swelling, stop using the device.
