Description
The IC Chip Front End Frequency Amplifier is an integrated circuit that amplifies and conditions the radio frequency signals received by the device. It forms part of the radio reception chain and comes into play when the network connection or certain wireless functions become unstable or disappear. This part is intended for the iPhone 16e model. It is a compatible part made by a third-party manufacturer: it can perform the same function as the current part, without being identical to it.
Before any work, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery where the design allows. Work on a clean, flat surface, wearing an anti-static wrist strap to prevent electrostatic discharge. Use a hot-air rework station at a moderate temperature, fine tweezers and suitable solder paste. Never force the tracks or the neighbouring connectors. Never puncture or bend a lithium battery, and do not use a swollen battery.
After fitting, check operation before closing the device: network reception, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and calls, depending on the functions concerned. Monitor the temperature during the first uses. If the device heats up abnormally or the problem persists, switch it off and restart the checks from the beginning.
