Description
The CP3200C1 IC chip is an integrated charge management circuit for the iPhone 17 device. It sits on the motherboard, close to the charging connector, and controls how the battery receives current. When it fails, the device may stop charging, charge very slowly, overheat while charging or switch off unexpectedly. This part is a compatible version made by a third party; it is not the manufacturer's original.
Before any work, switch off the device, disconnect the battery and work on a clean, anti-static surface. Use suitable tools and avoid forcing the connectors. Once the component is replaced, carefully check the solder joints and the absence of short circuits under a magnifier before powering the device back on.
After reassembly, connect a suitable charger and monitor the device's temperature during the first charges. If the battery heats up strongly, swells or smells unusual, stop immediately and no longer use it. A few full charge cycles then allow you to check that it works correctly.
