Description
The NFC IC chip 100VB27 is an integrated circuit that manages the device's contactless communication, in particular for payments, access badges and short-range data exchange. It is offered for the iPhone XR model. It is used to replace a faulty chip when the NFC function no longer responds, which often means the device no longer detects nearby items or a contactless payment fails. This part is a compatible reference, made by a third-party manufacturer, and not an original part.
Before you start, switch off the device, remove the battery if the model allows it, and work on a clean surface. Protect the components from static electricity with an antistatic wrist strap or by regularly touching an earthed metal surface. Handle the chip by its edges and use moderate heat for desoldering. Never force ribbon cables and disconnect the battery before any work on their connector.
After fitting, reconnect the battery and switch the device back on. Check the NFC function in the settings, then test it with a badge or a contactless payment method. If the battery is swollen, stop using it and do not puncture or bend it.
