This NFC chip is an electronic component for the near-field communication module of the iPhone 13. It enables contactless functions such as mobile payment, badge reading or pairing with compatible accessories. When it is faulty, these functions may stop responding, while the rest of the device works normally.
This is a compatible part, made by a third party, offered as an affordable alternative for a repair. Its performance depends on the quality of the fitting and the care taken during the job, as this type of chip is very sensitive to static electricity and heat. Before starting, switch off the device, disconnect the battery and work on a clean, anti-static surface.
After reassembly, check that the NFC function is detected in the settings, then test it with several objects. For the battery, run a few full charge cycles before judging the result. If the battery is swollen or damaged, do not use it and do not try to puncture or bend it.
