Description
This part is a processor chip (ref. SIC535) for the 13 (A2289) device. It is the component that handles the device's main calculations: it runs applications, the operating system and coordinates the other components. When it fails, the device may freeze, restart unexpectedly, switch off suddenly or not start at all. This chip is offered in the compatible grade, made by a third party, which makes it an economical option for a repair.
Before you begin, prepare a clean, well-lit workspace with suitable tools. Disconnect the battery before any work on the board. Use an anti-static wrist strap to avoid electrostatic discharges, which can destroy components. Do not heat the board more than necessary and avoid any pressure on the tracks.
Once the fitting is complete, check the start-up and test the main functions. If the device uses a lithium battery, do not puncture it, do not bend it and do not try to reuse it if it is swollen. Observe the device for a few hours of normal use to detect any abnormal heating.
