Description
This touch IC, reference CS40L26, is an electronic component designed for the Galaxy S25 device. It forms the link between the touchscreen and the motherboard: it interprets the movements of your fingers and passes the information on to the system. When it fails, you often see a screen that no longer responds, dead zones, ghost touches or actions triggered without being requested.
The part offered is a compatible version, made by a third party. It allows you to replace the faulty component without changing the whole screen assembly, which keeps the repair cost down. Before you start, switch off the device, disconnect the battery and work on a clean, dry surface. Use an anti-static wrist strap or regularly touch an earthed metal part to prevent electrostatic discharge.
After fitting, check operation across the whole screen, testing the corners and edges. Reassemble the device carefully, without forcing the ribbon cables, then check that all connectors are properly clicked into place. If the battery is swollen, stop using it and do not try to puncture or bend it.
