Description
This 512 GB SSD is a solid-state storage drive compatible with the Apollo S3 Plus Mac SSD device. It holds the operating system, applications and personal files, and can offer generally shorter boot and loading times than a mechanical hard drive. It is suitable when the device slows down, takes a long time to start, shows read errors or no longer recognises its internal storage.
Before fitting, switch the device off completely, unplug the charger and back up your data to an external medium. Work on a clean, dry surface and discharge static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface. Handle the component by its edges without touching the contacts, and remove the current part following your device's manual.
Once the SSD is installed, check that it is properly detected in the BIOS or disk management utility, then reinstall the system. Monitor the device's temperature during first uses and, if it behaves unusually, stop using it and recheck the fitting. This part is compatible: it is not manufactured by the maker of the current part.
