Description
The Galaxy Note 9 lens holder (Orchid) is a chassis part designed to hold the rear camera lens module correctly in place. It acts as a mounting frame: it positions the lens on the sensor axis and stops it from moving when the device is handled. A poorly held lens can cause blurred photos, an off-centre framing or a mechanical noise inside the casing. This compatible holder lets you replace the current part if it is damaged or deformed after a fall or impact, without changing the rest of the chassis.
Before you start, switch off the device, disconnect the battery if your model allows it and work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat if possible. For a lithium battery, do not puncture it, do not bend it, and stop using any device whose battery is swollen. Keep the screws in a small tray so they do not get mixed up and note the order of disassembly.
After fitting, check that the lens is properly aligned and that no vibration can be heard. Take a few test shots in natural light to check sharpness at the edges of the image. If the result is not satisfactory, adjust the positioning before closing the casing completely.
