Description
The front glass is the glass part that protects the screen of your iPad 3 and lets touch input through. Before you start, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery when the procedure requires it, especially before handling the ribbon cables. Work on a clean, flat surface with a suitable opening tool and suction cups to lift the glass. Warm the edges gently with a hair dryer on a moderate setting to soften the adhesive, and never overheat the battery.
After fitting, power the device on and check touch across the whole surface, the brightness and the absence of dead zones before closing it up. If the battery was disconnected or the device was opened, a few full charge cycles help the operation stabilise. Avoid bending the tablet and keep it away from static electricity while you work.
