Description
The front glass is the glass part that covers the tablet's screen and receives touch input. This compatible iPad 7 (2019) part lets you replace a cracked, shattered glass or one that no longer responds properly to touch. It is fixed to the tablet's chassis with its adhesive frame, protecting the touchscreen underneath.
Before you start, switch off the device and disconnect the battery if the procedure requires it. Prepare a clean, well-lit workspace and suitable tools: suction cup, plastic spudger, precision screwdriver. Gently heat the edges with a hair dryer on a moderate setting to soften the adhesive. Protect yourself from static electricity by avoiding unnecessary contact with the connectors.
Once fitting is complete, check that the glass adheres well all around the edge, that no dust remains under the glass, and that touch responds across the whole surface. Do not drill, bend or apply excessive pressure to the lithium battery. If the battery appears swollen, stop using the device.
