Description
The front glass is the touch-sensitive glass surface that covers the screen of your iPad 9 (2021). It protects the display and transmits your touch gestures. When it is cracked, shattered or no longer responds properly, this part lets you replace the glass panel without necessarily replacing the whole screen assembly.
This compatible front glass is a third-party part designed to fit the iPad 9 (2021) model. Before fitting, switch off the tablet, disconnect the battery and work on a clean, flat surface. Gently warm the edges with a hair dryer on a moderate heat setting to soften the adhesive, and never overheat the device. Be mindful of static electricity and handle the ribbon cables with care.
After replacement, check that the touch responds across the whole surface, that the screen is properly aligned and that no dust has got under the glass. Do not attempt to puncture or bend a lithium battery, and do not use a device whose battery is swollen.
