Description
This compatible front glass replaces the current screen of your iPad Mini 1 (2012). It forms the touch surface you use every day and protects the display underneath. If the glass is cracked, shattered or no longer responds properly to touch, this replacement will get your tablet comfortably back into use.
Before you start, switch the device off completely and disconnect it. Work on a clean, flat surface, with a small suitable screwdriver and suction cups to lift the glass without forcing it. Warm the edges gently with a hairdryer on a moderate heat setting to soften the adhesive without damaging the components. Take care to fully remove any old adhesive residue.
The worn battery must be handled with great care: do not puncture it, do not bend it, and disconnect it before touching the ribbon cables. If it is swollen, stop using it. After assembly, check the touch response across the whole screen and the brightness before closing the device for good.
