Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and, depending on the model, the memory card. It slides into its side slot on the phone. For the compatible version of the A05 (A055 / 2023), it replaces the current part when it is broken, jammed, bent or no longer holds the SIM card properly. The most common faults are a SIM card that is no longer detected, a tray that no longer fits fully, or a contact that breaks.
Before you start, switch off the device and remove the protective case. Use a suitable ejector or an unbent paper clip to open the tray, without forcing it. Work on a clean, flat surface and avoid sudden movements so as not to damage the internal ribbon cable. Discharge static electricity by touching a metal surface before handling the components.
Once the tray is replaced, reinsert the SIM card, switch the device back on and check that the network is properly detected. If needed, test inserting and ejecting the tray several times to make sure the mechanism slides without resistance.
