Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and, sometimes, a microSD card. It slides into the edge of the phone and lets you insert or remove the card without opening the device. This compatible part is intended for the A40 (2024) model.
A damaged SIM tray can cause several problems: it no longer ejects, it gets stuck, it does not close properly or the card no longer stays in place. The card may then not be recognised, lose network or disconnect. Replacing the tray restores a stable hold for the card and simple insertion.
Before you start, switch off the phone and work on a clean, flat surface. Use a suitable ejection tool so you do not force anything. Compare the part you received with the current one: the shape, the position of the notches and the thickness must match. After fitting, check that the tray slides without resistance, that the SIM card is recognised and that the phone picks up the network.
