Description
The SIM tray is the small metal or plastic part that holds the SIM card and the micro-SD card, and slides into the edge of the device. This compatible version is designed for the A5 4G (2025) model. It lets you replace a tray that is damaged, bent, broken or no longer closes properly, as well as cases where the tray sticks or no longer holds the card.
Before fitting, switch off the phone and remove the case. To take out the old tray, use the ejector tool or an unfolded paper clip, without forcing it. Compare the two parts: the shape, the notches and the position of the seal must match before you assemble everything. Once the tray is inserted, check that it sits straight and is flush with the chassis.
After replacement, switch the device back on and check that the SIM card is recognised and that the network appears. Also test inserting and removing the card several times. To avoid electrostatic discharge, touch an earthed metal surface before handling the components.
