Description
The SIM tray is the small tray that holds the SIM card and, depending on the model, the memory card. It slides into the side slot of the phone and makes electrical contact with the internal connectors. This part, compatible with the A6 Plus (A605), replaces a tray that is broken, bent or worn. It fixes the most common faults: tray no longer ejects, SIM card not detected, tray wobbles or sticks when inserted.
Before fitting, switch the phone off and remove the case if necessary. Use the ejector tool or a paperclip without forcing it, and work on a clean, dry surface. Avoid excessive heat and discharge static electricity by touching a metal surface. If the battery is swollen, do not attempt a repair and stop using it. Never puncture or bend a lithium battery.
Once the tray is refitted, insert a SIM card, switch the phone back on and check that it is detected. Check that the tray clicks into place without play or resistance and that the phone closes properly.
