Description
The SIM tray is the small metal or plastic part that holds the SIM card and, sometimes, the microSD card. It is removed from the device through its small side opening and refitted once the card is inserted. This compatible part is designed to replace the SIM tray of the A04e (A042 / 2022) smartphone. It is particularly useful when the tray is bent, broken, no longer clicks into place properly or no longer holds the card correctly.
Before fitting, switch off the smartphone and unplug the charger. Compare the new tray with the current part to check the shape, notches and card positions. Work on a clean surface, away from static electricity, and avoid excessive heat while handling it. If you need to work inside the device, disconnect the battery first where the design allows, and do not bend or force any component.
Once the tray is fitted, insert the SIM card, switch the device back on and check that the network is detected. Also make sure the tray slides without excessive play and stays properly closed. If the device shows a fault after fitting, stop using it and check the alignment before trying again.
