Description

The SIM tray is the small metal or plastic part that holds the SIM card and microSD card of your smartphone. This part, compatible with the Galaxy Note 9, replaces a tray that is damaged, bent, broken or no longer closes properly. It holds the SIM card and, if needed, the memory card, ensuring good contact with the connectors on the motherboard.

This part mainly fixes faults caused by the tray itself: tray that sticks, no longer ejects, is no longer held firmly, or leaves the SIM card badly positioned and not detected. Before any disassembly, switch off the device, remove the case and prepare a small ejection tool and a clean mat to store the screws. Remember to disconnect the battery before any work near the ribbon cables, and protect the device from static electricity.

Once the tray is replaced, check that it slides in without forcing, stays firmly in place and that the SIM card is recognised. Never use excessive force and never puncture or bend any lithium battery. If the battery is swollen, stop using it.
