Description

The SIM tray is the small metal or plastic part that holds the SIM card and, on some models, the microSD card. It slides into the side slot of the phone and must stay firmly in place for the network to work properly. This compatible tray is designed for the Galaxy S24, reference SM-S921B, and can replace the current part if it is broken, bent or no longer closes correctly.

A common fault comes from a warped or cracked tray that jams, sticks out of the chassis or loses contact with the SIM card. Replacing it lets you get back a phone that closes cleanly and recognises its SIM card again. Switch the phone off and remove the SIM card before any work, then use the ejection tool to take out the current part without forcing it.

Before refitting the part, check that the sealing gasket is in good condition and correctly positioned, as it protects the inside of the device from moisture. Put the SIM card back, close the tray until it clicks, then power on the phone to check that the network is recognised. Avoid excessive pressure and keep tools away from the electronic board.

Tips

  • Switch off the phone and remove the SIM card before you start
  • Use a suitable ejection tool and do not force the tray out
  • Check that the sealing gasket is correctly in place when refitting
  • Close the tray until it clicks before switching the device back on

Fitting

Fitting guide: work with the device switched off, disconnect the battery before touching any flex cable, keep the screws in order and test the part before closing up. A question before ordering? Write to us.
