Description
The SIM tray is the small metal or plastic part that holds the SIM card and, depending on the model, the microSD card. It fits into the phone's chassis and makes contact with the internal connectors. When it is bent, cracked or no longer closes properly, the card may not be recognised, the network may drop or the tray may get stuck.
This part, compatible with the Galaxy S26 Plus, lets you replace the damaged tray without touching the rest of the device. Before you start, switch the phone off and remove the tray using the ejector tool or an unfolded paper clip. Work on a flat surface at room temperature and avoid static electricity by discharging yourself on a metal object first. If a ribbon cable has to be handled, disconnect the battery first.
After fitting, check that the tray slides in without forcing and sits properly aligned with the chassis. Switch the phone on, insert your SIM card and check that the network is detected. If the previous part had a swollen or damaged battery, do not use it and do not puncture or bend it.
