Description
The SIM tray is the small metal part that holds the SIM card and slides into the side of the iPhone. This compatible part replaces the current tray when it is broken, bent, hard to pull out or no longer holds the SIM card properly in place.
The replacement restores a stable contact between the SIM card and the phone, and makes the tray easy to remove. After fitting, check that the SIM card is recognised, that the network shows normally and that the tray closes without forcing or play.
Before you start, switch the device off, use a suitable ejector tool and work on a clean surface. Avoid excessive force and do not heat the device. If the battery is swollen, do not use it and do not try to puncture or bend it.
