Description
The SIM tray is the small metal piece that holds the SIM card and keeps it in place inside the phone. On an iPhone 17 Pro, it lets you insert or remove your card without opening the device. This compatible part replaces a tray that is damaged, bent, broken or no longer slides out properly.
A damaged tray can stop the SIM card from being recognised properly, or make it impossible to insert. Replacing the tray restores normal use of the SIM holder without touching the rest of the device. Before you start, switch the phone off, work on a clear and clean surface, and use a suitable ejection tool. Avoid static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface before handling the components.
After fitting, check that the tray slides in without forcing, that the SIM card is correctly positioned and that the seal is intact. Switch the device back on and check that the card is detected. If the tray resists, do not force it: check its alignment before going any further.
