Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and sometimes the microSD card. It slides into a slot on the side of the device. When it is broken, bent or no longer comes out, the SIM card is no longer detected properly, or not at all. This compatible tray replaces the one on your K42 (2020) when it is damaged.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and unplug the charger. Note the orientation of the current tray and keep the old part to hand so you can compare the shapes. Use a pin or a suitable ejection tool, without forcing it, and avoid excessive heat. Parts of this kind are made by a third party: check the fit visually before forcing anything.
After fitting, insert a SIM card and check that it is recognised and that the tray slides in without excessive play. If the phone still does not detect the card, check the insertion direction and the position of the tray before going any further.
