Description
The SIM tray is the small metal or plastic piece that holds the SIM card and, sometimes, the microSD card. It slides into the side slot of the phone and must stay firmly in place for the network and storage to work properly.
This compatible part is designed for the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite. It lets you replace a tray that is broken, bent or no longer ejects, for example after a fall or repeated handling. If the SIM card is no longer detected, the tray sticks or the slot is damaged, this replacement can solve the problem. As it is a third-party part, its fit may differ slightly from the original one.
Before you start, switch off the phone and use a suitable pin to open the tray. Work on a flat surface at room temperature, and avoid static electricity by touching a metal surface before handling the components. After fitting, check that the tray inserts without forcing, that the SIM card is recognised and that the slot is properly sealed.
