Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and, in some cases, the microSD card, and slides into the phone. This compatible part replaces the tray of your Mi 9 SE when it is broken, bent, jammed or no longer fits back in place properly. Once fitted, it lets you remove and insert the SIM card without forcing it and helps keep the phone well sealed against dust.
Before you start, switch off the smartphone and remove the case. Use the ejection tool to take out the old tray, then compare the two parts to check the shape and the position of the notches. Handle the tray carefully to avoid static discharge, and never force it during fitting. If the current part shows signs of liquid or heat, clean the slot thoroughly before installing the new one.
After the replacement, switch the phone back on and check that the SIM card is detected and that the tray slides in and locks without play. Then insert the SIM card into the new tray and check the seal by pressing gently on the edges. If the tray remains hard to close, remove it and start again, checking the alignment.
