Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and, depending on the model, the memory card. It slides into a slot on the side of the phone. When it is damaged, bent or broken, the card may not sit properly, the phone may no longer detect the network, or ejecting the card becomes difficult. This compatible part is designed to replace the current tray of the Moto E20 (XT2155, 2021 model) and restore a proper hold on the card.
Before you start, switch off the phone and remove the case. Use a suitable eject tool to pull out the old tray without forcing it, and avoid bending or applying excessive pressure to the motherboard. Work on a flat, clean surface, protected from static electricity. Check that the new tray matches the model before fitting it.
Once the tray is back in place, power the phone on and check that the SIM card and network are detected. Also make sure the tray slides smoothly and closes properly. If the phone does not recognise the card, switch it off, check the position of the card and the tray, then try again.
