Description
The SIM tray is the small metal part that holds the SIM card and, depending on the model, the microSD card. It slides into the side of the phone and must sit firmly in place for the network to work properly. This compatible tray is designed to replace the tray of the Huawei P20 (2018) when it is broken, bent, stuck or when its sealing gasket is damaged.
This part is made by a third party: it is compatible with the P20 (2018) but does not match the manufacturer's current part. It allows you to replace the current part at a lower cost. Before fitting, switch off the phone, remove the case and the SIM card, then use a suitable ejection tool to remove the old tray without forcing it. Work on a clean surface and avoid any contact with electronic components to limit the risks linked to static electricity.
After fitting, check that the tray slides in without effort, that it stays properly aligned with the body of the phone and that the SIM card is recognised. If the gasket is supplied, place it correctly before closing. Never force the tray and do not bend it.
