Description
The SIM tray is the small metal or plastic part that holds the SIM card and, sometimes, the microSD card. It slots into a compartment on the side of the phone and lets you insert the card without opening the device. This part, compatible with the Poco M3, replaces a tray that is damaged, bent, broken or no longer ejects properly.
If your tray no longer ejects, gets stuck in the retracted position, no longer holds the card or no longer clicks into its slot, replacing it usually solves the problem without touching the rest of the device. Sometimes the SIM card is no longer detected because of a damaged contact on the holder: in that case, check the card before changing the part.
Before you start, switch off the phone and remove the case. Use a SIM ejector pin or a suitable fine tool, without forcing it. Prepare a clean, flat workspace and avoid static electricity by touching a metal surface before handling the components. After fitting, check that the tray slides in and out without resistance, that the card is held securely and that the network is detected before closing the device.
