Description
The SIM tray is the small metal or plastic part that holds the SIM card and, sometimes, the microSD card. It slots into the side of the phone and makes contact between the card and the device's circuit. This model is compatible with the Redmi 10. It replaces the current SIM tray when it is broken, bent, jammed or no longer holds the card properly.
The most common faults are a tray that no longer ejects, stays stuck halfway, or a SIM card that is no longer detected after a knock or careless handling. A damaged tray can also let in dust or moisture. Replacing this part restores normal operation without touching the motherboard.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Use a pin or a suitable ejector tool and work on a clean surface, avoiding static electricity. After fitting, check that the tray slides in without forcing, that the SIM card is detected correctly and that the phone remains dust-sealed.
