Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and, depending on the model, the memory card. It slides into the side slot of the phone. When it is damaged, bent or broken, the card may no longer be recognised, the tray may get stuck or it may no longer fit properly into the phone.
This compatible part for Redmi 7 replaces the faulty tray. It is made by a third-party manufacturer and fits this model. Before you start, switch off the phone and use the ejector tool or a paper clip to remove the old tray. Check that the sealing gasket, if any, is properly in place on the new part.
After fitting, insert the tray with the SIM card and check that it clicks into place without force and that the phone detects the card. Avoid applying excessive pressure to the tray and handle the components carefully to prevent electrostatic discharge.
