Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and sometimes the microSD card of your Redmi 9A. It slides into its housing on the side of the device. When it is worn, broken or poorly fitted, the card may no longer be recognised, the device may lose network or the tray may jam halfway. This compatible model replaces the current part so you can get back to normal operation.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and remove the protective case. Use a suitable ejection tool and work on a clean, flat surface, without forcing anything. Disconnect the battery if your disassembly requires it, and avoid any contact with the flex cables. Also remember to discharge your static electricity by touching a metal surface before handling the components.
After fitting, reinsert the SIM card, check that the tray clicks into place without play, and test network reception and mobile data access. If the device heats up abnormally or the battery swells, stop using it immediately. Never puncture or bend a lithium battery.
