Description
This SIM tray is the holder that takes the SIM card, and sometimes the microSD card, then slides into the side slot of the Redmi K20. It lets you insert or remove the card to change operator or access storage. When it is broken, bent, worn or stuck, the card no longer locks in properly, the network may disappear or the phone no longer detects the card.
Before starting, switch off the device and remove the case if necessary. Use a suitable ejection tool, without forcing it, and work on a flat, clean surface. Avoid static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface before handling the components. If a battery is accessible, disconnect it before any work on the ribbon cables.
After fitting, check that the tray slides without play, that the card is correctly positioned and that the phone detects it. If the device overheats abnormally or a battery swells, stop immediately and stop using it. Never puncture or bend a lithium battery.
