Description
The SIM tray is the small holder that takes the SIM card and sometimes the microSD card, then slides into the TCL Plex chassis. It keeps the card in place and makes electrical contact with the phone. This part helps fix common faults: SIM card not detected, tray jammed, stuck or broken, or a tray that no longer closes properly.
This reference is a compatible part, made by a third party. Before starting, switch off the phone, remove the case and use a suitable ejection tool to take out the old tray. Work on a clean, dry surface, away from static electricity, and compare the new part with the old one before fitting.
After reassembly, insert the SIM card, restart the phone and check network detection. Make sure the tray clicks into place without forcing it. If the phone overheats abnormally, stop and check the fitting. Never bend or puncture a lithium battery you come across during the repair: a swollen battery must no longer be used.
