Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and, in some models, the microSD card of your phone. It slides into the side of the device and lets you change cards without opening the casing. This compatible part is designed to replace the tray of the Y7 Pro (2018) when it is broken, stuck, bent or no longer closes properly.
A damaged tray can prevent the SIM card from being detected properly, cause network drops or make the tray difficult to remove. To replace it, take out the old tray using a pin or ejection tool, then fit the new one in the same direction, without forcing it. Before any work, switch off the phone and disconnect the power. Work on a clean surface and avoid static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface.
After fitting, check that the tray opens and closes without resistance and sits properly aligned with the chassis. Insert your SIM card and check that the phone recognises it and that the network works. If the tray stays hard to operate, do not force it and repeat the fitting.
