Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and sometimes the microSD card, and slides into the side of the device. This compatible part for G6 replaces a damaged or lost tray, for example when it no longer opens, no longer sits properly, or the card is no longer recognised correctly.
Before fitting, switch off the phone and remove the SIM card. Work on a clean, flat surface with a suitable opening tool so you do not scratch the casing. Avoid excessive heat and protect yourself from static electricity by touching a metal earth before handling the components.
Once the tray is installed, check that it slides in without forcing and is properly aligned with the phone body. Reinsert the SIM card, switch the device back on and check network detection and card reading. If the tray rubs or does not close properly, stop and readjust it before going any further.
Tips
- Switch off the phone and remove the SIM card before any work
- Use a suitable opening tool to avoid scratching the casing
