Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and, depending on the model, the microSD card. It slides into the side slot of the phone and must stay straight so that the contacts connect properly. This part, compatible with the LG G8 ThinQ, replaces a tray that is damaged, bent, broken or no longer ejects, as well as cases where the card is no longer detected or the tray gets stuck.
Before you start, switch off the phone and remove the case. Insert the ejection tool into the small hole in the tray, press gently until it pops out, then remove the SIM card. Avoid sudden movements so you do not damage the slot or the internal contacts. Work on a clean surface free of static electricity.
After replacement, check that the tray slides in without forcing and that the card is recognised before closing the device. If the phone has been opened or a ribbon cable has been handled, remember to disconnect the battery before any work and not to bend the cable when reassembling.
