Description
The SIM tray is the small component that holds the SIM card and, on some models, the microSD card. It slides into the side slot of the phone. This part, compatible with the LG G8X ThinQ, lets you replace a tray that is broken, bent, jammed or no longer ejects properly.
Before you start, switch off the phone and remove the case. Use the SIM ejection tool to take out the old tray without forcing it. Note its orientation and the position of the cards. Handle the new part carefully so you do not bend the holder or scratch the sealing gasket, and avoid static electricity by touching a metal surface before you work.
Once the tray is fitted, check that it slides in and out without friction, then reinsert the SIM card and make sure the network is detected. If the tray sits misaligned, do not force it: start the installation again gently.
