Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and, on some models, the memory card. It slides into the side slot of the phone and makes contact with the internal connectors. When it is broken, bent or worn, the card may not be recognised, may shift or may jam when inserted. This compatible part for Galaxy Fold 5G replaces the damaged tray so you get a working SIM slot again.
Before you start, switch the device off completely and remove the case. Use the ejection tool to take out the old tray, without forcing it. Check that the slot is clean and free of dust. Fit the new tray, placing it straight, then put the SIM card back in and test the insertion before closing everything up. Avoid handling the components with damp fingers and discharge static electricity before touching the card.
After fitting, check that the tray clicks into place without play and that the SIM card is detected by the network. Also check the sealing of the slot if your device has one. If the tray does not close properly, do not force it and check its alignment.
