Description
The SIM tray is the small metal or plastic part that holds the SIM card and, depending on the model, the memory card. It slides into a side slot on the phone. When it is broken, bent or no longer closes properly, the card may make poor contact or come out during use. This compatible part for Galaxy S6 lets you replace the damaged tray without touching the rest of the device.
Before fitting, switch the phone off completely and remove the SIM card and memory card. Compare the supplied tray with the current part: the notch, the insertion direction and the shape of the back must match. Work on a clean, flat surface and avoid applying unnecessary force to the chassis.
Once the tray is back in place, check that it slides without excessive play and locks properly in its slot. Insert a SIM card, restart the device and check that the network is detected. If the tray rubs or does not close cleanly, do not force it: check the alignment again.
