Description
The SIM tray is the small metal or plastic part that holds the SIM card and microSD card and slides into the side of the phone. When it is broken, bent or stuck, the card no longer sits properly, the phone no longer detects the network, or ejection becomes impossible. This tray, compatible with the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, lets you replace a damaged part without changing the entire chassis.
Before you start, switch the device off completely and remove the case and the SIM card. Use a suitable pin to open the slot, then work on a clean, flat surface, protected from static electricity. Compare the part with the old one to check the shape, the position of the notches and the insertion direction before fitting it. Never force the tray: it must slide in without resistance.
Once fitting is complete, insert the SIM card, switch the device back on and check that the network is detected correctly. Also make sure the tray stays firmly in place and that ejection works. If you notice abnormal play or difficulty inserting it, stop and recheck the fitting before going further.
