Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds your phone's SIM card and, sometimes, its microSD card. It slides into a side slot and lets you insert or remove the cards without opening the device. When it is bent, cracked or broken, the card no longer sits properly or the phone no longer detects it. This compatible tray replaces the current part for the Honor 8 (2016) and restores normal use of the card slot.
Before fitting, switch off the phone and remove the SIM card and the microSD card. Use the ejection tool supplied with the device or an unbent paperclip, and avoid any sudden force. Work on a clean surface in a well-lit area, and discharge static electricity by touching an earthed metal object.
Once the new tray is installed, check that it clicks into place without forcing and sits properly in line with the chassis. Switch the phone back on and confirm that the SIM card is recognised. If anything feels stuck or misaligned, stop and gently readjust rather than forcing it.

- Use a suitable ejection tool and do not force the slot
- Work flat, in a clean and well-lit place
- Check the tray alignment before switching the phone back on
- Test that the SIM card is detected after fitting
