Description
The SIM tray is the small metal or plastic part that holds the SIM card and sometimes the microSD card of your smartphone. Before you start, switch the phone off completely and remove the case. Use a pin or an ejection tool to open the old tray, then compare the new part carefully with the current one to check the shape and position of the notches. Handle the components with care and avoid static electricity by touching a metal surface before you work.
After fitting, insert a SIM card, check that it slides in without forcing and is properly detected by the phone. If the tray still sits slightly out of line, readjust it before closing. Moderate heat and gentle handling are enough for a reliable result.
