Description
The SIM tray is the small metal part that holds the SIM card and guides it into the iPad's slot. This model is a compatible part, designed to replace the damaged tray of the iPad 7 (2019). It lets you insert and remove the SIM card without forcing it, and keeps the card secure in its slot.
A bent, cracked or no longer clicking tray can stop the SIM card from being properly recognised, or even block its removal. Replacing this part restores normal use of the SIM slot. Before fitting, switch off the device, insert the ejection tool or an unfolded paperclip into the small hole, then remove the old tray without pressing too hard. Avoid sudden movements and static electricity by touching a metal surface before handling the parts.
After replacement, check that the tray slides freely and that the SIM card sits flat. Switch the iPad back on and check network recognition. If the tray is still hard to insert, do not force it and start the fitting again from the beginning.
